เรียน SAT/ ติว SAT VOCAB : รวม Confused words สับสนสุดๆของ SAT Verbal Part 1
จะสอบ SAT Verbal ให้ได้คะแนนสูงทั้งที ไหนจะต้องฝึกอ่านให้เร็ว จับใจความให้เก่ง ท่อง grammar อีกมากมายแล้ว SAT Vocab ก็เยอะสุดๆเช่นกัน เท่านั้นยังไม่พอ ยังเพิ่มความยากด้วยการเอา Vocab คล้ายๆกันมาทำให้น้องๆสับสนอีก
เพื่อไม่ให้น้องๆของ KPH ต้องสับสนกับคำศัพท์เหล่านี้ วันนี้พี่ๆ ได้รวบรวม SAT Confused Vocab มาให้ทำความคุ้นเคยกันค่ะ ^^
เริ่มกันเลยยย
a lot (noun) many (มากมาย)
allot (verb) to give or share in arbitrary amounts (แจกจ่าย จัดสรรปันส่วน)
Example :
You're better off than a lot of people.
It's all part of my 2-year plan. Every minute is allotted
accept (verb) to recognize (ยอมรับ)
except (prep.) excluding (ยกเว้น)
Example :
I've been asked to tea, Danny, and I've a good mind to accept.
It had an old paper and different hangings. It was never used much except for occasional visitors.
access (noun , verb) means of approaching; to approach (การเข้าถึง เข้าไป)
excess (noun , adjective) extra (จำนวนที่มากเกินไป ซึ่งมากเกินไป)
Example :
I'll have access to over 5,000 other databases.
Now we have the means to control these excess currents.
addition (noun) increase (การเพิ่มเติม)
edition (noun) an issue of a book or newspaper (การตีพิมพ์)
Example :
You'll be a permanent addition to this archaeological find.

advise (verb) to give advice; inform (แนะนำ)
Example :

affect (verb) to influence (กระทบ มีผลต่อ)
effect (noun) result (ผลกระทบ ผลลัพธ์)
effect (verb) to bring about (ก่อให้เกิด)
Example :
Anything you tell me can be quoted verbatim in testimony and can affect your case.
I promise you the effect is purely transitory.

all ready (adjective) completely prepared (เตรียมพร้อม)
already (adverb) by or before a specified or implied time (แล้ว เรียบร้อยแล้ว)
Example :
The wagon is all ready.
When they don't ask questions, it's because they know the answers already.
all together (adjective) in a group; in unison (ทั้งหมด)
altogether (adverb) completely or thoroughly (โดยสิ้นเชิง)
Example :
Yes! We are all together again!
The government ought to abolish the tax altogether.
allude (verb) to refer to something not specifically mentioned (พูดเป็นนัย)
elude (verb) to escape notice or detection (หลบหลีก)
Example :
He alluded to problems with the new computers.
He's killed and eluded every person you've sent to find him.
ascent (noun) the act of climbing or rising (การปีน)
assent (verb) to agree or accept a proposal or opinion (ยินยอม เห็นด้วย)
Example :
Continue your ascent, and you will gain freedom.
Captain, after an inventory of our stores, the men have assented to your plan.
