โดยปกติแล้วข้อสอบ SAT Critical Reading นั้น ประกอบไปด้วย 5 passages รวม 52 ข้อ ใช้เวลา 65 นาที ซึ่งนั่นหมายความว่า น้องๆมีเวลาอย่างจำกัดเพียง passage ละ 13 นาทีเท่านั้น สำหรับการอ่านและตอบคำถาม
