สำหรับ ข้อสอบ IELTS Speaking Part 2 นั้น อาจจะดูน่ากลัวสำหรับใครหลายๆ คน เพราะมันคือ พาร์ทที่น้องๆ จะต้อง solo แต่ไม่ต้องห่วง เพราะวันนี้ พี่ๆ KPH จะมารวมรวบสิ่งที่น้องๆ จะได้เจอ ในข้อสอบ IELTS Speaking Part 2 ให้น้องๆ เตรียมตัว ทำความคุ้นเคย เตรียมตวามพร้อม ก่อนจะลงสอบจริง
IELTS Speaking Part 2 Topic Card
ในการสอบ IELTS Speaking Part 2 น้องๆ จะได้รับ Topic Card ที่มีคำถามอยู่ในนั้น ดูตัวอย่าง Topic Card ด้านล่างนี้เลย
ซึ่งภายใน Topic Card จะประกอบไปด้วย 3 ส่วนด้วยกัน
ส่วนแรก คือ ส่วนที่เป็นตัวกำหนด Theme หรือ หัวข้อ ว่า การสอบครั้งนี้ จะพูดถึงเรื่องอะไรเป็นหลัก อย่างเช่นในตัวอย่างด้านล่าง บอกว่าให้ Describe something you own which is very important to you. แสดงว่า Theme ครั้งนี้้คือเรื่อง important thing.
ส่วนที่สองคือ Detail หรือ รายละเอียดที่อยากให้อธิบายเพิ่มเติม เปรียบเสมือนคำถามที่กำหนดทิศทางว่าการตอบของเราจะไปในทิศทางไหน และต้องตอบให้ตรงคำถามด้วย ในตัวอย่างด้านล่าง จะถามต่อว่า Where you got it from? How long you have had it? What you use it for? คือให้เราบอกข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยว important thing ที่เราเลือกมาว่าได้มาจากไหน ได้มานานรึยัง เอาไว้ใช้ทำอะไร
ส่วนที่สามคือ การอธิบายเหตุผล ว่าทำไมถึงตอบแบบนี้ อย่างเช่นในตัวอย่าง บอกว่า explain why it is important to you. คือให้อธิบายเหตุผลว่าทำไม ของสิ่งที่ถึงสำคัญกับเรา
ตัวอย่าง Topic Card
Describe something you own which is very important to you.
You should say:
Where you got it from
How long you have had it.
what you use it for.
and explain why it is important to you
You will have to talk about the topic for 1 to 2 minutes.
You have one minute to think about what you're going to say.
You can make some notes to help you if you wish.
Rounding off questions
*Is it valuable in terms of money?
*Would it be easy to replace?
การเตรียมตัวตอบคำถาม
หลังจากที่น้องๆ ได้รับ Topic Card แล้ว น้องๆ จะมีเวลา 1 นาทีในการเตรียม วางแผนคำตอบ เพื่อตอบให้ครบทุกคำถาม และตรงประเด็น 1 นาทีนั้นอาจจะเหมือนสั้นนิดเดียว แต่จริงๆ แล้ว มันอาจจะไม่ได้ยากขนาดนั้น
ในห้องสอบ Speaking สิ่งที่น้องจะได้รับคือ ดินสอ และ กระดาษ ให้น้องได้วางแผน คำตอบของตัวเอง พี่จะแนะนำให้น้องๆ อ่านคำถามในส่วนแรก และ ส่วนที่ 2 ก่อน แต่เพื่อเป็นการประหยัดเวลาน้องๆ ไม่ต้องเขียน Note อะไรออกมา เพราะคำถามใน 2 ส่วนแรก นี้เป็นคำถามที่น้องๆ สามารถเก็บคำตอบไว้ในใจได้อยู่แล้ว (แต่ถ้าอยากเขียนจริงๆ ก็ไม่ได้ว่าอะไรน้า)
หลังจากอ่านคำถามในส่วนที่ 1 และ 2 แล้ว คิดคำตอบไว้ในเรียบร้อยแล้ว หลังจากนั้น ให้อ่านคำถามในส่วนที่ 3 ส่วนที่ต้องอธิบายเหตุผล และจดคำตอบที่อยากตอบออกมาลงในกระดาษ แนะนำให้น้องๆ หาเหตุผลมาอย่างน้อย 2 ข้อ/Main Idea 2 จุด
แล้วก็อย่าลืม สำหรับ Main Idea แต่ละข้อนั้น ก็ควรจะมี detail รายละเอียดเพิ่มเติม เพื่อมา support main idea นั้นๆ อธิบายให้ main idea นั้นมันเข้าใจ เห็นภาพมากขึ้น
อย่างไรก็ตามน้องไม่มีเวลามากพอที่จะเขียนทุกอย่างออกมาเป็นประโยคยาวๆ แล้วพูดตามที่ตัวเองเขียนได้ น้องมีเวลาแค่ 1 นาที ในการเตรียมตัว ดังนั้น พี่จึงแนะนำให้น้องๆ เขียนเฉพาะ Keyword ออกมาเป็น Bullet Point ก็พอ เพื่อใช้เป็น Guide นำทางเฉยๆ ไม่ให้พูดออกนอกลู่นอกทาง

Candidate: Yes. One of the most important things I have is my blanket. The reasons are because, firstly, the blanket was given by my parents the moment I was born and it has been with me ever since. Whenever I have a feeling of nostalgia and think about my parents, I would lie down cuddling this blanket as if I were with them. Secondly, the blanket has shaped me to be a different person. As a kid, I was an easily-scared person. My parents would turn this blanket into a teddy-bear-shape-liked doll and put it beside me, so that I could sleep knowing I was not alone. If without it, I would probably become a coward girl.Examiner : thank you. Would it be easy to replace this, this blanket?Candidate : Physically yes, mentally no, I would say. This blanket contains lots of meanings and memories for me.หลังจากที่น้องๆนำ Keyword ที่ เขียนเอาไว้ทำให้กลายเป็นประโยคที่สมบูรณ์ เรียบเรียงออกมาอย่างเป็นระบบ มี Main Idea และ supporting idea อย่างชัดเจน การตอบคำถาม IELTS Speaking Part 2 ก็จะดูเป็นระบบ ขึ้นเยอะมากๆ ตอบกระชับ ไม่ยืดเยื้อ ตอบตรงประเด็น ครบทุกคำถาม ไม่วกไปวนมา เมื่อ plan มาดีแล้ว การพูด solo เป็นเวลา 1-2 นาทีก็ดูไม่ใช่เรื่องยากอะไรเลย
ถึงตอนนี้ น้องๆ หลายๆ คนเห็นตัวอย่างการตอบ อาจจะยังกลัวๆ อยู่ อาจจะยังมองเป็นเรื่องยาก ไม่เป็นไร! ไม่ต้องกลัว ของแบบนี้ มันฝึกกันได้ แน่นอนว่าพี่ๆ KPH ไม่ปล่อยให้น้องๆ ไปนั่ง panic ในห้องสอบแน่นอน พี่ๆ ก็ได้รวบรวมเอาหัวข้อที่ออกบ่อยๆ มาให้แล้วทั้งหมด 23 หัวข้อ! 23 Topic Cards! ให้ไปฝึกกันล่วงหน้า เอาให้คล่องกันไปเลย อย่างไรก็ตาม หัวข้อและตัวอย่างคำถามที่ยกมาให้อาจจะไม่เหมือนกับในห้องสอบเป๊ะ ๆ อาจจะมีอะไรแตกต่างออกไปบ้าง แต่ตัวอย่างเหล่านี้น่าจะเพียงพอให้น้องเตรียมตัว และไป adapt ใช้กับสถานการณ์จริงในห้องสอบได้ ไม่มากก็น้อย ถ้าพร้อมแล้ว ก็เลื่อนลงไปดูได้เลย

สุดท้ายนี้ อยากจะบอกว่า จุดที่ยากที่สุดของการสอบ IELTS Speaking Part 2 ไม่ใช่เรื่องของว่า น้องจะพูดมากไป หรือ พูดน้อยไปเลย จุดที่ยากที่สุด คือเรื่อง "เวลา" ต่างหาก เวลาอันน้อยนิดคือตัวทำให้ทุกอย่างดู intense ตึงๆ ไปหมด เพราะฉะนั้น สิ่งที่น้องต้องทำ คือ ฝึก ฝึก และ ฝึก จนกว่าจะชินกับกับหัวข้อทุกหัวข้อ ในกรอบเวลาที่จำกัดนี้
เมื่อจบการสอบ IELTS Speaking Part 2 ก็จะต่อด้วย IETLS Speaking Part 3 ทันที ซึ่งจะมีรูปแบบคล้ายๆ กับ Part 1 คือเป็นการ พูดคุย ถามตอบกัน ไม่ใช่แบบพูดคนเดียว solo เหมือนพาร์ทที่ 2 แล้ว
